Photovoltaic Transformer Substation
A photovoltaic (PV) transformer box, also known as a combined transformer for PV power plants, is a prefabricated electrical device that integrates a step-up transformer, high and low voltage switchgear, protection and control devices, and reactive power compensation devices. It is specifically designed for PV grid-connected power generation systems. Its core function is to step up the low-voltage DC power generated by PV modules (converted to low-voltage AC power by an inverter) to the grid voltage. It also performs functions such as power metering, protection, and monitoring. It features a compact structure, convenient installation, low operation and maintenance costs, and adaptability to harsh outdoor environments, making it one of the core step-up devices in PV power plants.
